OOC: Beth, just post something in character. You're driving me up a wall. Some one post something. Beth, you can tell me when I get back tomorrow afternoon, if whatever it is is bothering you enough to mention it on all of the roleplay boards without making any sense what so ever. Or tell Maddie. You obviously want to tell someone.

OOC: Ha. . . Beth's been found out. I just returned from the party. I'll post more on that later, though.

Jaid was staying! He grinned, and leaped back to the castle, like a little schoolboy. I smiled to myself, and hoped Okami knew she was being thanked. A chill wind picked up, and blew my black hair into my eyes. Glancing up, I noticed with regret that the sky was growing dark. Storm clouds were rolling in. I shivered, and ran inside, hoping to catch up with Jaid.
Halfway up the staircase, I found him, still grinning. There was a chirp from one of the rooms, like the one Gator gave my old rickety bed, before it turned into something from a hotel suite catalog. I cauteously crept forward, Jaid beside me, and peered into the room. The Dragon had two mage lights set into sconces on the walls, and the room was being fixed and decorated with her growls and shrill twitters. I slipped away, leaving Jaid for a moment, and ducked into my room, hardly three steps away. Scooping my dimmed mage-light from where it had settled under the bed, I held it aloft, and came out of my room, and into the new one. The Dragon looked up. "Whose room is this?" I asked. Jaid was still leaning around the doorframe. Gator bared her teeth in a strange smile. "His. I'm glad you're staying after all, Jaid." "And so am I" I said, adding my Mage light to another one in the nearby scone. The lights combined cast a pale lavender glow over the room.

I couldn't help it. It was all so ridiculous. I stood there and grinned like an idiot, watching Dragon and Kiri finish the room. When Kiri added the last mage light, I had to laugh. "I'm really grateful, Ms. Dragon, but why is it purple...?"

Jaid laughed. "I'm really grateful Mrs. Dragon, but why is it all purple...?" he asked. "Because that's the color of my magic," I responded, "And I'm not a she, nor am I a he. I haven't chosen what gender I'm going to be yet. But everybody thinks I'm female, so I assume that's what I'll end up being. And I'm very glad you like it!" I grinned broadly, "If you'd like I could have another magician come in and tint it some other color. You can call me by my name if you want instead of Dragon or Gator. I'm so very glad You're staying!"

For some reason the last sentence killed the sudden happiness that had welled up. "Glad I am, too. Thanks, but I think I'd like to paint it on my own sometime. Magic is cool, but I like my job as fix-it." I knew my cheerfulness sounded forced. Turning, I walked down the stairs and out side again. There was a forest that extended partway onto the estate. I walked over to one of the old oaks and hauled myself onto a branch. Two more branches and I was sitting in a very nice thinking spot. I didn't intend to come down until dinner.

His next words held forced happiness. I was puzzled by his sudden sadness. He walked out. I figured it wasn't good to interfeer right now. He needed to do some thinking. The color was a little too purple, kinda girly. I growled and barked rather forcefully, pushing as much will into my command as I possibly could. The room suddenly changed to his favorite color. I felt drained. Kiri began to go after him, but I called after her. "He needs to be alone for now and figure things out. Have you figured out my name yet?" I asked her and grinned.

OOC) By the way, her name is "Is that all" squashed together and backwards. Just in case you hadn't figured it out yet.

OOC: Let me try this just for spelling's sake: Is that all. Hmm. Llatahtis! Cool! I like that name!

I was shocked. She was able to read thoughts, but I had forgotten. I thought Llatahtsi was a He and had called her Gator, in my thoughts. But not even that was safe here. "Room's lovely," I said, admiring the new color. "But. . . I want to talk to Jaid. There's something I want to know."

I fell asleep up there. I had been thinking for a long time, when the wind and shifting shadows had lulled me to sleep. I woke up with a stiff back, and nearly fell out of the tree. Catching myself, I chuckled. It was amazing what a few minutes of sleep could do to your mood. Stretching carefully, I peered at the sky through the tangle of branches. It was probably close to dinner now, and I wondered if anything else needed fixing. I was so glad it was summer. I didn't have to worry about college work for another month. I was startled when I heard someone yelling my name. "Jaid? Where are you? Are you out here?" It sounded like Kiri. I wondered how long she had been looking for me. Had I been asleep that long? Or had she just come outside?

Secrets are fun things to hold but also dangerous very dangerous, and scarey.

OOC) Actually Goldberry, your spelling of the name was just a tad bit off. The S and I are switched at the end. Llatahtsi. See? No offense of course. And if anyone wants to know it's pronounced La-tah-tsee
