Vito is also a mastermind, and nobody knows what he's up to, but whatever it is is beyond the ability of most people.

I have an inkling. I think he's either trying to overthrow the government or save the world. A bit of both probably.

There's a thin line between em, Faf, so that doesn't come as a surprise.
Brendan hums in the shower occasionally. He will not actually sing though, because when he was little, he'd do so while washing his hair and end up with soap in his mouth. After about thirty or so similiar experiences, he quit trying. His favorite song to hum is, of all things, "Cinderella Dressed in Yella" the old hopscotch rhyme. However, he's...modified... it a bit. He makes pretty good grades in school, and sophmore and junior years he was in track. Senior year he decided to drop track. His favorite past time is going outside in the front yard at midnight and staring at the stars. He never uses a blanket during these outings, so he'll come in with mud on the back of his shirts or melted snow on his jacket and one time sat in a pile of, well, one of the neighbor's dog's left a gift. We'll leave it at that. He burned that particular pair of jeans. Two of his white shirts are darker on the back because of spring mud, and one time he almost caught his jacket on fire trying to dry it by the doc's fireplace.

He's IN his senior year, and he's considering quitting track, and he's goofy, and sings any song that comes into his mind when he's in the shower (I know this becuase Landon makes fun of him behind his back) And if he's not at home watching the stars, he's over at my house in the front yard! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHH!
I don't know about the mud and the, er, look-alike doggie mud, but AAAAAAAAAAGH!! This is freaky!

I swear to you, I am not stalking him. That's just the way Brendann turned out. However, if you wish to make him sweat drop just a bit, you could tell of the description without mentioning that it was an accident....lol. I'm sorry. If I'd known it would bother that much, I wouldn't have posted it, I would've just left it blank. *shrugs* No use crying over spilt milk now. If I ever do anything more with Brendan (which I might), please apoligize to Paul and tell him I didn't mean to steal his identity to write a story, and if it bother him, I can...I don't know, stick 'em in an acknowledgement section at the end of the story (if I ever get around to writing it- I'm not going to mention the plot of the thing I had to write for CW because I'll probably just keep the characters from it, I was really dissatisfied with the plot line; by the way, remind me to email that to you.)

(No, I didn't change the spelling of Brendan's name, that first there is a typo.)

Oh, well first of all, Paul knows absolutely nothing of this site, and you didn't get all of his full characteristics, only just a handful, so shoot. Go for it. Don't change a thing. I was just being goofy and felt like screaming when I posted all that. *grin* I'm such a lovely person.
Oh, and I rather like how Brendan is spelled with the two "nn"s on the end. Makes the name look decidedly welsh.
Bredann. Coooool.

Oh! next question! (and I'm very sorry, Lynnette - I know you're probably going to have a hard time catching up, but we have a tendancy to ramble and get off topic if there aren't things to do. You know how it is . . .)
What words does your character say most often? And What is is his/her Favorite word of all time? (if they even have one, that is. Some people don't appreciate the fine art of speaking/writing English.)

I don't know about favorite words, but speaking habits is an entirely different story. Brendan (by the way, the root is welsh, Madzid, so I see no point in making it look welsh) uses people's pre-fixes a lot. I think it's the whole distance complex. For instance, he has never addressed Dr. Peters as "Jason" (though this is probably because the doctor is his elder) or even as "Mr. Peters" In fact, every time he addresses Dr. Peters, he tacks the "doctor" at the beginning or end of nearly every sentence. His speech habits are odd because he's very particular about some things, but uses contractions the other half the time like most Americans. When talking to someone his own age, including friends, he doesn't use nicknames or even shortened names. If a friend's first name is Roberto-Hung-Xu-Johnathan-Edward (this is just an extreme example), he won't call him Rob, Ed, or any other variation. The closest he'll get is Roberto-Hung or Roberto (his mom was born in Asia, but one of her parents was American, they moved back when she was a teen but her english is always very precise, and it carried over to her son though he uses contractions and she doesn't). But that was in 5th or 6th grade. He's now starting senior year. (Note- he's changed since beginning of junior year, which was his age in the CW thing) He's getting slightly better about this, but it's still noticeable.

Aha. Text-book-english-ee. I've never even thought about that as a way to identify a character through speaking. I've usually just used accents and funny exclamations.
Smithen is still thinking.
