I wrote a poem a long time ago and sent it to Jo, and then she wrote that last one there off it. Should I put up mine, Jo? I like yours better . . .

I a pencil rose, Given to long walks, Long talks, And runs in the water hose, I, a pencil rose.
You drew me, Shaded in my empty spots, Blew across the surface, Now everything is smooth. I, a pencil rose.
I was an artist’s child, Birthed in their frustration, Meant to be a little wild, I came from their imagination, I, a pencil rose.
So here I am sitting on paper, Waiting for my debut on the mantel, Where I’ll sit, In a frame for years on end, And just be a Pencil Rose.

I like very much, Gimli! Quite honestly, I have no critisism, execpt for the first line. But I think that was just me...it made sense after that. *sticks foot in mouth* Jo, read and remember before writing comments! Yes, Maddie I think you ought to post yours. And I apoligize. I forgot to put the note at the bottom saying that it was based off of a work of yours. Sorry, and thank you for allowing me to quote you, again.
Name, isn't it "quoth the raven, 'nevermore, nevermore" ? Or were you modifying it?

I fear the rising sun And the night I hate the darkness But shy from light Yet I adore the white radiance, Shining in the vale And the solemn warriors Clad in grey mail
I hide from thee Don’t see me No, don’t see me
What trials I face everyday It is in myself I hide I hide away Listen not to the things I say
What am I to you anyway?
I hide from thee Don’t see me No, don’t see me
Listen - Soft whispers fill the air I know not what voice this is Don’t take me there Yet I pine for speech so fair
What am I to you anyway?
An echoing mind, an anguished call I challenge the rising barricade I fight the wall Watch me crumble and fall
I fear the rising sun And the night I hate the darkness But shy from light Yet I adore the white radiance, Shining in the vale And the solemn warriors Clad in grey mail
I hide from thee Don’t see me No, don’t see me

*shakes head* See, Faf, this is why I wonder how sound Madzid's judgment is...She writes this WONDERFUL stuff, and then tells me she doesn't like, and my copy-of was better! Not to mention she calls it old as if it were a bad thing...*stops ranting and looks sheepish* Anyhow. I like it very much, hence it getting stuck in my head alot. Maddie should be proud of it. But she already knows my stand on this. Hmph. Downgrading good literature...*grumbles under breath and wanders off*
